Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you book with Redondo Beach Insulation Company. When you browse the site, send us a request, accept an estimate or let our crew start work at your house, you agree to them.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site or book work with us. You can always go back to the home page or call us with questions first.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Redondo Beach, CA, and we work in the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removing old insulation, for homes and commercial buildings.

The exact work we'll do at your property is what's written in the estimate you accept. Anything outside it isn't included unless we both agree to it first. You can read more about how we work on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, done at your property and obligation-free. Each one lists the work, the materials and the price for your house as we saw it on the visit.

Some things only show up once the job is open, such as old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings, buried eave vents or damaged framing. If we find something like that, we stop, show you what we found and explain the extra cost, and we won't do added work until you approve it.

An estimate holds for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have moved, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling and cancellation

We confirm your start date once you accept the estimate. Weather, material delivery or a problem on an earlier job can push a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one with you.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us as early as you can so we can give the slot to someone else. If we've already ordered special materials for your job, you may be charged for them, and any cancellation rights you have under California law still apply.

Your home during the work

Please give our crew clear access to the attic, crawl space or walls we're working on, and move stored items out of the way when you can. We'll protect floors and the path in and out, and we clean up when we're done.

Some materials, spray foam in particular, need everyone, including kids and pets, out of the house for a set time before you go back inside. We'll tell you that re-entry time before the job, based on the maker's instructions for the product we use, and you agree to follow it.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or invoice. Unless they say otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we'll contact you first to sort it out. Unpaid balances may lead to collection costs to the extent California law allows.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it.

Materials carry their makers' warranties, and we'll pass along whatever those warranties give you. Apart from our guarantee and those warranties, and to the extent the law allows, we don't make other promises about the work, including how much your power bill will drop, because that depends on your house, your equipment and how you use it.

The guarantee doesn't cover damage from leaks, pests, other contractors, later remodeling or problems in the house that were there before we started.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind the work we do. To the extent California law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room or higher utility costs, or for conditions in your house we didn't cause.

Also to the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let a business take away.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand insulation work. It isn't a quote or advice for your specific house, and only a visit and a written estimate can give you that.

We try to keep the site accurate and working, but we can't promise it's always error-free or available. Please don't copy its content for commercial use or try to interfere with how it runs.

If we disagree

Please call us first if you have a problem with our work or a bill, because most issues get settled with one conversation and a return visit. We'll work with you in good faith to fix it.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or to a court in Los Angeles County, California.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always the one on this page. The terms in place when you accepted your estimate apply to that job.
